www.cushmanpaintball.com sells resin casts, although epsilon has told me that the casts are made of ABS plastic. Here's the link for the Thompson. http://www.cushmanpaintball.com/replicathompson.html
I'm not sure if they ship to the UK, but the gun is a lot less than 220 Quid. Good Luck. I'd PM epsilon before and if you buy, I believe he has ordered from them before.
If it can be written, or thought, it can be filmed.

There are 2 airsoft versions...
the M1 Thompson (bolt on top) early-war...about $100 US in most places
M1A1 Thompson (bolt on right side) later-war...about $225 US in most places

I'd let hell freeze over before I recommend his shitty pieces of cr** to anybody else. You might as well start building your own from wood. :P

VAMPIRES OMG AWESOME!!! CAPS LOCK YAY!!! Or in easier to understand language, shut up, you aren't contributing anything to this discussion.

As far as the original post goes, I would actually recommend the (mock?) advice from Epsilon's last post, and build your own. A Thompson is a fairly simple shape when you break it down, it's basically just a collection of rectangles with a cylindrical barrel. I've actually got old plans somewhere (I think) from one that I made a few years back. If you're on a tight budget, and have a fairly basic knowledge in woodworking you only have to invest some time to get a very realistic looking prop.

I agree with UFP. The Thompson's overall structure is relatively easy to build. Also, the stock, which would probably be the most difficult to build, can be found on eBay for around $40. Other than that, wood and PVC pipe will do the job.
If it can be written, or thought, it can be filmed.
