FIRE!?!?!?

Post by jtefx »

I was wondering if anyone here knows how to re-create the lighting effects of a flickering fire. I've tried the silk with the light and the fan, but the fire won't actually be seen. I just need the lighting effects of fire. Any ideas?

Try hanging some gel strips of red and yellow infront of an orange-gelled light. Add the fan you already have and viola. Instant Fuego.

the best is have a regular light and have a dowel with pieces of orange gels and tape then to the dowel (pieces two feet long... like a hula skirt) then wave it in front of the light and it should do the trick

You can get video of fire, they come out around Christmas time for people who don't have fireplaces (God knows why this product even exists). But anyways, it does, and you'd just have to play it on a TV off-screen facing the scene.
