RENASCENT

Post by Jass Films »

Hey guys, Renascent is my first year university film. I will get my results at the end of the year, so I don't know how well it will go yet.

But anyways, it's 8 minutes long and it's a suspense film. Check it out @

Before you ask, Renascent means to come back... or something along those lines.

There is only a largish version online atm I will compress and upload a small version soon.

Thanks guys, let me know what you think.

PS. You will require Quicktime 7 to play this film, go to http://www.apple.com/quicktime

Do you need a special compressor to view this file? I downloaded it, but it says I don't have the necessary compressor to view it. Could you maybe make a WMV file or something? I'd really like to see the film.

Yeah, same here, could only get audio and a back or white screen depending on the player I used. And I tried them all.

You need to have the latest Quicktime 7, nothing extra is required except Quicktime 7. If you have downloaded the latest Quicktime 7 then, hmmm. That is weird.

PS. I can't make wmv as I am running a mac.

I couldn't get it to work at first but it works fine now that I have downloaded the latest quicktime.

I really liked the movie, good for a short film. How long did it take you to work on it?

It was a good story that was obviously constrained by the length of the film, the ending could have been a little more in depth but I like the way it was kind of left open with regards to whether or not these ghosts were real.

Really well done dude

Cheers, the script too me 3 months to write, it was shot over 5 days, and edited in about 2 weeks.

As for the guys that can't get it to work, that is weird, can you please try and download one of my quicktime 6 format films, if they work, I will export a Q6 version of the film.
