DRUGS?????????

im not really sure if this should be under special effects but.....i ws wondering if any of yous guys have had people in your movies use drugs in any scene...if you have what did you use for the drugs...i wanna know for any kinda drug

also i wanna know how i can have a scene where a guy is shooting up...i can i show that

you can use heaps of stuff for drugs... usually bi carb soda works well for coke and if you get some parsley chop it up put it in the oven for a bit to dry it out you got yourself some weed... goto the candy shop for some "pills" just think about what it looks like and try to emulate it.

shooting up could be done like a nice fast montage like clip so you dont have to show the whole thing and waste time... if you have seen natural born killers youd know what i mean.

if you have an actor friend who is a diabetic then shoot them shooting up

haha it would be one of those things in the movie where all the diabetics would laugh at it.

My dad is a cop and the amount of times he's yelled at CSI for something I don't know.

I laugh whenever i see photoshop in a movie Im a nerd.

salt and sugar work just as well for coke but as long as its not zoomed right in, look at the movie WASTED in the members films section to see if the salt looks real enough from a distance.

For shooting up i'd use something that looks like a syringe (fance turkey baster perhaps?) and cut out the needle. Fill it up with whatever you want for the fluid. Replace the needle with a small unnoticable tube that goes up the actor's sleeve or behind his arm (or wherever it won't be on camera). The fluid should look like it is leaving the syringe and all but you don't actually have to pump anything into your arm.

Ya i did i mentioned it above in my movie Wasted, from a distance it looks right on but since i have never seen coke from up close i dont know how it does for coke zoomed in

we used icing sugar once for cocaine. It snoots well and tastes ok down the back of the throat

In MTL, they used flower as, flower that they were passing off as cocaine, and it looked pretty real.

Beware: do not actually inhale fine flour, or talcum powder, i know this osunds funny but it is serious it will go to ur lungs and remain permanently there, and it WILL cause dificulty breathing!

you can snort sugar but it kinda sting but i guess it would add to the effect.

sugar may be ok as long as its not super fine, thats why flour is bad, somethin a bit larger wont get into your lungs so easily, when i filmed my movie i did snort but i did not actually pull anything, i was careful not for anything to get into my nose, sugar ought to be fine but jus make sure your careful anyway.

You don't really have to sniff this up your nose. Use a vacum cleaner instead and a hidden tube. You can easily hide it behind your nose and it looks weird when you kill a 3 pound line of cocaine. Well that's comedy, of course.

One of those little table/car vacum cleaners will do the job.

For Cocaine , just use flour. You can stick your face in a bag of it and make all kinds of snorting and sniffing sounds without actually ingesting the floor.. and when you look up it'll look good with all of it clinging to your face like Scarface. Sugar wont really work good for that, but sugar is also good if your just showing the drug , not actually snorting it. Yah and like OutcastJiob suggested, use cornstarch. It looks like a fine cocaine. Same with baking soda.

If you want gum-rubbing drugs in your film use brown sugar for heroin or icing sugar for charlie (coke).
