I need some help. Windows XP Home Edition is booting up and shuting down slow. There are a lot of programs on the bottom right hand side of the screen.
1. How do I change these programs so they don't startup when Windows XP is booting up?
I remember I did this before, but I forgot how to do it. I think you go to "Start," then to "Run." What do you type into Run? Any help?

My uncle showed me how to do that. I'll have to call him up, because I really need to do that too.

the best way to improve performance is format your hard drive, i do it regularily to make sure my comp doesnt become bogged down and too slow, but as for the startup thing the best way to do it is jus go to each individual settings of the programs in the taskbar and tell them not to start up upon turning on the comp, or install webroots spy sweeper, and you get to choose if u want to block any programs at startup from running
You blithering, blathering, bloody, back-stabbing b*tch
