Is there any way I can make a fake Windows (XP) window that appears when I want with the message i want?
I need a computer to request a password for a person to enter a specific site... (like in the classic action movies)
- or should I just make a still image in paint/ power point? somehow?
Seen trough a cats eyes, everything belongs to the cat
I have an idea of how I think it could be done. My thought process is hard to explain sometime, so if you want to, PM me and I'll give it a try, then let you know how I did it.

K. then I think I`ll use that. But if i do that, can i make a smooth transvfer between the actor writing and the dialog box appearing?
(it is supposed to appear when she presses Enter)
dude just do what the movies do let the person tap away at the computer and then do the screen later in post. then you can have those cool interfaces that beep and work at impossible speeds just like real computers lol
Muzzle Flashes, Bullet Time, Lightsabers, Buffy Vampire Effects, War Films.... Ahhhhh!

well i never thought of that way, but using powerpoint means choregraphing and it might not be perfectly in line with the actor, you need something that your actor interacts with in real time
You blithering, blathering, bloody, back-stabbing b*tch

Just fudge it! Have the presentation set so 1 letter is shown at a time, with a key-press activated pause in-between. That way, the presentation can work to the actor's speed!
Type the word Hello as a password:
H
<key-press pause> E
<key-press pause> L
<key-press pause> L
<key-press pause> O
<key-press pause>
PASSWORD ACCEPTED! SECURITY ALERTED!
Would look like:
H E L L O_
PASSWORD ACCEPTED! SECURITY ALERTED!
Or whatever you want, just follow a script. Get the idea?
You could use VB script. It's pretty easy to learn, I don't know a whole lot though, my time has been devoted to higher languages, but VB should cut it for your needs.
