=JDL=: Well on some of them we set it up so a person onscreen could explode it, eg a ground hit wee set up a tripwire effect, the running shot we had a massive long string and the guy behind me with the gun was holding it and it exploded when i got a certain distance. On other ones, we just extended the string out of screen, for ground/tree hits mainly, and then sum1 offscreen pulled the string.
well ive never used Baby Powder, only Talcon Powder or Flour (flour didnt work very well), so all I can suggest really is experiment, play around with what works and what doesnt
I just got back from the firing range (fun!), I got to fire a Barret single shot 50 cal (even more fun!), and I got to fire for the first time my new k98, and of course the m1a socom, I'll post the video up soon.
Baby powder and talcum powder are identical, well sort of. Talcum powder is a scary mix of carcinogenic metals and minerals ground up really finely. It hasn't been sold for years, what we think of as talcum powder is really scented corn starch, though it is mostly sold under the name baby powder (not actually made up of finely ground babys). I like using flour, because it settles faster, and doesn't hang around in the air as long, plus you don't smell like a pedophile if you get covered in it.
