Painting Uzi
Hey everyone, I'm buying this http://www.thesportsauthority.com/produ ... age=family gun andas you can tell is see through. I want to paint it with my airbrush but do I need something special to put on first to cover the plastic and then the paint? What paint is good for a gun black uzi?

RE: Painting Uzi
I would sugest giving it a coat of plastic bonding spraypaint first as a pimer. Then you can use whateve colours you desire with the airbrush. Something like a matte black Krylon Fusion would be about right, and if you take your time you may not even want to do any further painting besides details and highlights.
EDIT: The second question is, why in the name of God are you paying $34+Shipping for a clear plastic airsoft gun you're using as a prop?

Shipping on that is way too much. My greasegun I just ordered had only 15 for s/h.

I'm driving to the store, last I heard it was 20% off all airsoft things. Thanks for the paint answer.

Doug if you want to buy one, Id search the internet more more a better price. Look at this one:
http://www.hobbytron.com/Airsoft-UZI.html
Looks more real than the clear one and its only $19.99
Have you already started making yours?

Yeah, dressed up cap guns work very well as background weapons or weapons for extras. Hero props have to be slightly more authentic, of course, but there's definitely uses for the $0.99 toy guns.
EDIT: Also, I think the first gun linked to was a MAC-11. That would be why it doesn't look like an authentic Uzi.
