Frame by Frame in photoshop
Yo
at the moment i have photoshop 7.0
you no all of these frame by frame editing like the cutting of images or lightening effects, i was wondering if anyone could walk me through this
when making a video, i'd edit it in premiere pro, export it
but on other tutorials it says i can import it as a timeline, then add the effects, is there some step that i have missed??
thanks a lot

Perhaps export as a Film Strip? I'm not exactly clear on what it is you're trying to do.

ok open up premier then put your footage on the time line then save it as a filmstrip, next open up adobe photoshop then go to file open select the film strip then wait a little while for it to read the filmstrip it takes loads of memory cause the file is so huge, i did a 5sec lightsaber animation and it took almost 2days.

I would seriously consider getting Adobe After Effects. Photoshop is ok if you want to spend 4 weeks of doing frame by frame (Well depending how long the clip was). When I composited myself into a TV show (See: http://www.matthawkins.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8274 ) I used After Effects to draw and animate masks around myself because at that time I was having trouble doing green screening. If I would have taken that same footage into Photoshop and erased the background around me, then that would have taken a month. Granted, it took me 3 weeks to complete project because I had to draw and animate masks around 2 other people who were already in the shot. Thats my suggestion anyways. Adobe After Effects is life saver. Especially if your compositing lightning bolt effects or muzzle flashes and all that other good stuff. When I figure out what my next compositing project will be, I'll write a tutorial on my way of doing it.
