Haha, I saw those on eBay too. I was thinking about buying a couple for reenactment loaner gear. It's a little moderately priced for the the condition, but if you don't have one yet, get one!

I'm a reenactor these days. Not necessarily a gear queer; many of the productions I've worked on were completed! And I'm still trying to get a copy of the final showing for all you guys!

Mauser
I'm not gonna use this for a ww2 film, but maybe you guys will like it
Its a mauser automatic pistol. It was used by germany during ww1 wasnt it? Anyways, here it is.
With some black paint and a bit of weathering It'lle look brill.
(P.S. cr** quality Pic I Know.)

No not exactly a gear queer, but I need to buy stuff from somewhere, can't really make a WW2 movie without it you know? And for the Enemy Within, I'm still revising the script- alot.
But yea, I bought two, so I got 4 in all, but I still need like 2 ammo belts and 2 duty belts. And one of my haversacks doesn't have a meat can pouch, so I have to go find a cheap one. I don't really care to much about the condition of stuff, since it's suppost to look battle worn anyways.
Besides, I just posted a short (yet shitty) short I did for a class back in May, just click the poster/DVD cover.
For the love of God, don't laugh at the fact we don't have haversacks but we have etools attached to our suspenders, don't laugh that we used alice straps instead of m36's on one, because this was before I got my first shipment of stuff.
Here's a little video we did to make fun of some of the stuff in the video too.

And I have a pistol like that, the mag comes out and the slide pulls back, got it for like $10.
And here's my Yugo Mouser I got like 2 weeks ago. I know the bayonet doesn't fit, but it looks cool.

The pistol an airsoft? I'm out of WWII now, too much expense for often poor results. I never put more than $30 into the little gear I have so no biggie, though I'd still probably buy a German helmet if I had the chance and the price was right. Maybe in 30 years, once I've made it big I'll do a Spielberg and return to the genre!

I'd be happy to, if you don't mind donating some money.

On a lark I just went back and looked at the first page of this topic. Due to the cutting down by the mods (a good thing in my opinion) DeadLogic is no longer the father of this thread. Though I rarely post here anymore I won't stand for it, something must be done to preserve his memory. Helpful mod perhaps?

That's because you are registered with them. I cannot get to it either.

Mu mauser pistol I got was a 1 quid one, it was a police force play gun. It even makes a sound when you pull the trigger, wonderful.
