Post by nigel101 »

I've just bided and won a PD150, im from UK.

I've just realised on the pic there is a plug and its two prongs a foreign plug. Thinking NSTC.
I was told I shouldn’t buy a ntsc camcorder because it will course problem i.e. editing.

how will it effect me?
I've ordered 15 miniDV so if there PAL will they not recorded?

Tapes are tapes... doesn't matter whether you record a PAL or NTSC data stream to them. Make sure you capture as NTSC 29.97 FPS conversion to PAL may be possible depending what editing software you are using. The question will be how the software interpolates the missing lines of resolution. Next question will be the charger. Is UK a 220/240 volt electrical system? If so, then you will need to get a convertor to use the 120V US charger.... I don't think there will really be major probs once you figure out the correct conversion to PAL in Post...
