There is NO STOCK FOOTAGE. Every frame was shot by our crew. We got a lot of great material from the D-Day re-enactment at Conneaut Ohio last September, as well as 16mm footage by Scott Spears from a year before. Shot with 35mm film, 16mm film, and super 8 of varying types. This teaser features primarily unseen footage and presents a first glimpse at the scope of the production. Not much story elements in this, but a lot of action & showing the amount of extras, the quality of work, and the toys we have to play with.
THE COMPLETE LIST OF CAMERAMEN....
Cinematography by Micah Jenkins, Bret Dahlgren, Scott Spears, John Whitney, Gil Whitney, Bill Pivetta, John Fromes, and Miguel Baldoni Olivencia.

RE: Horrors of War - TEASER
Yeah; the teaser looked good. But I must say; I thought your brightness levels in most of the shots were too low. I found it hard to see details within certain shots. Maybe it's just the style of the film? I don't know. Other than that, good teaser.

It's a nice idea and nicely shot!
Unfortunately all the trailer does is make me think you shoved your most glossy and most realistic footage together, without actually telling us the story. About 2/3rds in to it I was still wondering if there was gonna be an actual story!

sorry your teaser, over all some of the best stuff shot and edited. Some of the cgi was lacking a little. Not sure what it was but didn't look as real. I think I would have considered model minature on the air planes and added the flames in with cgi. Most of the muzzle flashes look realistic. I like that you did the shell casings being ejected from the guns really added to the realism.

Wow!
Very impressive work, the 35mm Shots was that included in the trailer? I think it was? (just my monitor where i am right now is that bad!)
In any case what can i say (u guys know yourself how good it is for these forums no offence to others!) Heck i hope to be where u guys are in a year or 2!
So the Arri media did i see in the gallery pics? For your 35mm photography? Also, this is being used with super 8mm as well!? (Is the issue money here? How does it gel with the other footage, or are you combining footage from different stocks in a creative way (saving money via clever storytelling.)
I knew a chap who did that, s16mm for normal, plain ancient 8mm for dream sequences (they were very dreamy lol)
Costuming looks first rate to me, and the look and presentation is great. I think i saw an early clip u guys did outside this site that featured a cgi Me262 chasing a B17 over some dudes (has this been cut now? It was a little ott i remember lol.)
The premise for zombie soldiers or that type of thing, i think is generally unexplored in the ww2 genre. While i suspect most photography perhaps is done, there is one book i would love to mention to you, in the hope it might help and provide some excellent ideas to you.
The book was written by SABAN, and the name of the title, was 'The Sound of his Horn' Now there is a bit of mystery around this book, and the story (i think it was written in the early 1950s) concieved of a europe ruled by the SS, featuring 'creatures' made from former slavs and other races, that served the germans.
But the cracker was the poor lead of that story, surviving in effect, a 'hunt' where the pack dogs were genetically modified cat women, and the pray were like genetically modified fox people or something.
Sounds crazy, but it is dark, almost socially realistic, and remains to this day one of the most haunting (and quite short) stories i ever read, it i think touches on some of the extremes - horrific extremes, of nazi military experimentation and horror, that your film i believe dutifully explores.
All in all gentleman, an absolutely first rate effort you are making, and i wish you the very best, I know ill reserve my copy o the finished work. (if u need advice for distribution i know a little, but im sure u guys will have that settled)
