So, Americans, does this look real? I assume silenced gun ejects some kind of smoke...

It falls when it comes out. Smoke tends to rise and float about. And you need a little bit more of it.

I watched the video and decided to do some testing, so I poured flour into a prop silencer and screwed it into one of my airsoft guns and started shooting. The flour didn't work all that well. Then I used baby powder instead--that works very nicely. You get a decent sized puff, and there was enough wind when I was outside playing around with this to make the puff of baby powder float up and away.
Yeah, a fan is a great idea for "forcing" an upward motion of the smoke. But don't use flour; use baby powder!
