Adobe After Effects

Hi guys!

In the coming weeks, I am going to keep an eye on eBay for any good deals on Adobe After Effects but first I need to know if it is worth getting.
I want to know how any of you have benefited from the software.

eBay is great - I picked up a bundle of After Effects 5.0 and 5.5 + all the manuals, packaging, etc for both of them. Grand total: about $150. Excellent deal.

It's definitely worth getting if you're serious about any kind of non-3D special effects. Greenscreening, wire removal, lightsaber-style effects, gun muzzle flashes, you name it and After Effects will help.

If you're interested in getting After Effects, I'd recommend that you search around the net and find a bunch of After Effects tutorials. This will show you what the software is capable of, and may give you an idea of the program layout.

Thanks for the advice guys, I have already seen some of it's capabilities and it looks as though it can do some pretty cool stuff.

be carful make sure it is not copied. After effect is great but only if you have an original!
