"Test-Film: Explosion"

So us at xeropictures are trying to finish after-math 3. So my main goal, today was to set out, and try to make it as good as we possibly could get it. We needed some explosions, that wernt "that" harmful or deadly... So we came up with a solution...What do u get when you take Dry ice...Water...a 20oz or a 2 liter bottle? here's what you get...our test film. Now were still tryin to work with it, we got some amazing stuff to work with, still dangerous, but eh, was fun. So were gonna try to finish after-math 3 with what we now know we can do....

I just don't recommend using explosives behind glass... that's just dumb. Explosions are dangerous enough, but adding shrapnel isn't very smart at all.

Simply pressure bombs, uhhh but how are you getting the dry ice? I can tget that stuff where i live at. I use THE WORKS toliet bowl cleaner and FOIL with 2 liter pop bottle it has the same effect but i bet ya its cheaper.

But yeah, great stuff! I'm not ashamed to say I enjoyed every tense moment of that video I wanna go out and do the same now. Which reminds me of a video I should upload actually...

That's probably the funniest video of yours Ive seen Orny! I think you might consider investing in a fire extinguisher after that little night of fun. How many cans of deodourant did you use?

Ha ha thanks! You don't need much deodrant, in fact I think I'm still using that same can of deodrant and we filmed that a fair few weeks back. We did cover the last lot of balloons with some flammable liquid we found though.

On a side note, I had a dream I was doing those bottle explosions last night

Well, Truggy, I now know what I'm going to be doing with my spare time for the first few days after school lets out!

Blowing the barbecue lid off was just awesome. I didn't know those suckers were so powerful--I thought they made a loud BANG, didn't know they had so much power.

Well keep bragging, that was awesome. I was shocked, at first, and then started laughing. The lid blowing off a barbecue struck me as being very funny, dunno why. But it was awesome, as I've said repeatedly.

Now for a litte anarchists cookbook... Cap off a Glass bottle and you've got yourself a homemage fragmentation grenade. Anywhere within 10 yoards of that sucker and you'll probably kill yourself. That's more lethal than a molotov cocktail.

Yes, but it's much more dangerous. . . .throwing a cloud of vaporized acid out doesn't seem particularly safe to me :-/

well u gotta consider your options, wuts more dangerous....Draino + tin foil (letal to your eyes) or Ice....lol i chose ice for a mutlitude of reasons. Me and recon tomorrow are doin this again, but this time im goin prepared, shovel, gloves, everything, im testing some s*** i wanna use for one of our films.

Yeah, I wouldn't use drain cleaner for an explosion I had to be anywhere near.

Just wondering, how are you going to use this method in a movie? I can't see a way to time when the explosion will happen, so how is that gonna work out for you?
