Computer Problems

Post by WeirdEars »

I have a problem with my computer. It is a good spec for movie editing (2Ghz Processor, 768MB DDR RAM, 80GB HDD), yet my PC crashes ten minutes or so after opening Premiere Pro 7. I've recently formatted my PC, and this problem didn't occur before...

HELP!

Only a 512MB DDR RAM stick, but it used to crash after as well...

Before all of that, I tried mucking about with other versions of Windows, seeing what works best with Adobe before it started crashing...I think this may of been the cause...

UPDATE:

I've installed my copy of Premiere Pro 7 onto a different PC (a spare one with some of my old parts from the computer I had trouble with in the first place in it) and it still crashes...

I have made these deductions...

Deductions

Hard Drive NO
(Still crashes with different HDD)

DVD Writer POSSIBLY
Graphics Card POSSIBLY

RAM NO
(RAM worked before crashing)

Software NO
(Software worked before crashing)

FireWire Card POSSIBLY

Could it be when I installed a potentially unstable copy of Windows, the firewire card screwed up?

I was mucking about...

Also, about the firewire, maybe only Adobe Premiere crashes with it because that is the only software I have that uses firewire!

What about the power supply? The one in both computers is about 250. Could it be a power deficiency?
