Ideas for a movie about math.

Post by John Groshko »

In my Calculus class, we have a unit project we have to do. It can be about anything to do with Math. So; I've decided to make a movie about math (in some shape or form).

All I'm asking from you guys is for some ideas about what this movie should be about exactlly. It can be about anything, just as long as it relates to math in some way.

Any ideas are welcomed.

Well here:...Do a movie about how everything is mathematically inclined. Everything has to do with math. A clock. A computer. Anything, the way you walk, everything has to do with math in some form or another. SO you could do anything you want. Like "how many feet did i walk in a circle" or something....Get wut i mean? Great idea

How about PI by Darren Aranofsky? That's a movie about maths and it's great...

I did a movie for a math project a couple of years ago titled "The Wonderful World of Triangles" basically, we talked about triangles and beat each other up.

Try making one like A Beautiful Mind, but make it more math-oriented.

Make it a long commercial for Excedrin. That goes with math, right? :D

Thanks for the comments; but I need more specific ideas about what the film should be about. I'm really stumped as to what I should do.

Do something crazy like the Cube. Or a serial killer obsessed with math who leaves formulas as clues...

LOL that's the best thing I've heard in a long time!

I was gonna say actually, just do a film where you're in a math lesson and it's driving you mad because you hate it, so you kill your math teacher and take over the world and declare that math be banned in all schools. I'm sure your teacher will love this piece of A+ work
