Premiere motion blur/trail

Post by brain.nz »

Hey guys,
Does anyone know how I can make that time lapse effect of cars driving down the highway at night and all you see is a red line or white line (back and front lights) zooming past as all the cars drive past?

Does premirer have the ability to do this or is there a plugin available? How do I create the effect that my video camera has "trail" so when you move the camera it leaves a trail (like how you can turn trail on for your mouse"?

Cheers,

Hi, some cameras have a built in effect called Video Echo that does that. Im an FCP user and im pretty sure FCP does it, so im sure premiere will.

MM ive had a look through the FCP filter library and cant find what your after. I think it may be a case of applying a colour correction filter to bring up the brightness of the car lights and then use a motion blur. Seems odd there is not one built in...

Thanks.

yes in premiere pro you coulod try echo effect, and then tweak with the settings and there is a drop down menu in them which yoiu should change to maximum.
