HELP! HDD Camera editing issue.

Post by angusware »

I'm editing some files from a Hard-Drive camera (SONY) to Final Cut (on Mac, just in case....) which is in MPEG-2 and I have converted, but looks terrible, with great motion blur-looking lines through the video when any movement occurs.

What is this and how do I fix it?

thanks.

I think it's ok, it just sounds like the interlacing lines showing up oddly on the computer monitor. Is the footage ok when you play it back through a TV?

no. it appears with the jagged motion blur lines on the dvd, and now the color is washed out.

it's because Quicktime doesn't like MPEG-2, but now it seems like as long as quicktime is the exported file, it will be stuffed...
