HELP ME TO IMPROVE THIS AUDIO

Post by kene555 »

For this scene, I had to move the cameras back about 20 feet to get the angles and depth of field that I wanted. I had to up the audio 20 dB, and there is some room ambience in the background. How can I, with Premiere Pro 2, clear up the audio by removing background noise, without muddying up the voices?

thanks in advance

Just re-Dubb it, and try to sync it up the best you can.

Maybe try normalizing it.

The most you can probably do, is import the footage into an audio editing program, sample the ambience, then isolate and remove it. It is easily done on Adobe Audition. Then you can normalize the track, and add in your own reverb. You can't really do much in Premiere, as it is a video editing program.

The best thing to have done in that situation would have either been to use a boom microphone or lapel microphones. You could also try dubbing the dialogue audio.
