Yeah it does have some info, but a lot of it is rather vague and ambiguis (lol a lot not all i said hehe.) A lot of it seems abridged somewhat from the guerilla guide to filmmaking book.

You found this site? It's your own site.

Way to make it look like you found a site and make it look great, even when its not...

You need to learn a lot about making web sites. It's chaotic, links don't work or are wrong. Value of many of informations is not big.
Do you have a permission from authors of these articles?

What Santi said^

Looks like material from alot of websites that took time and effort to make a good article.

Then you just copy and pasted their stuff on your website and called it your own, that pretty bad.

Usefull or not - he just copied somebody else work. This is not ethical. Somebody worked hard to gain his knowledge and experience and he shares it in articles, websites... And then came some nigel101 and copied it on his website. If he'd make a page with links to these reasources it would be OK but no - he copied. It's immoral and immature. That's my opinion. I teach my kids to respect other people's work.

I saw some really good material... it looked really familiar too! Oh I remember now... Those bastards! www.dvinfo.net must have copied your website word for word!!!

I seriously doubt Scott Spears gave Nigel permission to use his writings either.

And being 22 years old too... this is low.

makingthefilm

Post by makingthefilm »

Guys,

I don't want people mixing up MAKINGTHEFILM.NET with my website MAKINGTHEFILM.COM which has been around since 2001. This is why I decided to post.

I have a 'quick start guide to filmaking' which I wrote entirely off of my own back and it is still in development as I update it everytime I learn something, and currently we are negotiating with sales agents to sell the film to distributors.

http://www.makingthefilm.com/guide.html

If you have any comments, please feel free to send them to me: michaelbartlett at aol dot com.

Cheers,

Just make sure you credit the people whose articles are pasted there. And Nigel, did you really find this website? Ya sure you didn't make it? :) If you wanted your story to be believable, you'd take the link to www.makingthefilm.net off your page for 'Alien Rising.'
