Wide Angle Lens

Post by TheMalteseJob »

Hey. Anyone here buy a good Wide angle lens? I'm thinking of getting one for my Sony camera but I would like to hear some comments about them if anyone has any.

This is the one i'm probably going to get.

But it's a lot of money to just buy blindly and I don''t think any shop here in Malta would have any I could test. Much appreciated if anyone can help.

Well a few years ago I picked up a wide angle lens from Sony for my dvx2000 cost about $400 and was worth every penny. While I couldn't really see the diffrence while I was shooting because the cameras little lcd didn't show me what the lens was seeing, as soon as I poped the video onto my computer I had the realization of how cool it was when Veges capture screen blueup from its noraml 4x3 to my new 16x9.

Also the cam was set to shot in wide for the shot with the lens. I'll try and find some better examples. if those do not sufise.

Right the top doesn't have a lens, working digging up some more and yes you can zoom. It just alows you to have a larger shot.

Though its defently esayist to see when you watch a movie thats in full and wide becasue it will resize say your media player or quicktime window.

after I get something to eat I'll work on maybe getting some video up to show that helps.
