All my crew are friends also. Numbers depend on the day. In reality my cast is also crew. I work very guerilla like in fashion so i rely on a small and mobile crew at times.

There are various sub-crews though

It just seems better that way...then I don't have to fumble around with four different jobs, I can just focus on directing. I don't know why I didn't do this before.

Another question.

Do you guys give your film crew the dvd when you finish the movie?

My crew is my friends its actually funny how my crew was formed.

Here the story:

Me and my friend who formed it with my girlfriend where working on another film with this kid we knew. That guy asked us for help to make the script ,acting,directing some scenes, editing,finding people and music for it. So we said ya sure this should be fun,

I had past editing experience and so forth so i was hell i always wanted to make a movie. At this time i didnt know my other friend whom i work withnow was working with us until way later, Me and the friend found out about each other after finding out he was the killer in the movie and i was some weird geeky kid(which i agreed on) magicly the friend became the jock and this random person was the killer this all happened suddenly. Believe me if you saw my friend you would say he would fit the part of the killer.

So we are waiting around to shoot for weeks the reason wh are waiting is cause the person making it doesnt have a camera. How professional right. A few weeks pass and out of no where I find the guy who is supose to be making the movie just standing downtown with a few people so me and my gf go over. WE find out he was filmin this whole time., Funny after all his filming he had only one or 2 complete scenes completed. One scene of the killer trying to get a girl and the other of a very badly done talking scene. So i asked when me and our other friend will be in it. He said he will give us a call.

we wait and wait then i see the kid again and he lost his camera. Well suposely lost it after that me and my friend and my girlfriend decide to stay our own company with the 3 of us. We waiting a while put some ideas together and so forth. Bought a camera looked up some information and so forth. Now we are filming our first short which is coming along nicely and someone else joined our crew whos helping out nicely and a few others want to join. Basicly thats how i got my crew and well the new members who may join were friends of my friend and he told them about the film and so forth.

Thats the story of my crew in a badly written story.

So basicly what im saying is if you want to get a crew together just ask people. Interview them and see how they work with you.

I normally let them know that if they want a copy to just give me a blank DVD of their own and then I'll burn it for them. That way I don't have to use all my DVD's.
