Looking for a voice over

Post by TidalFilms »

So ive shot and edited a 5 minute short that's titled 'The honour of men' and its basically a short remembrance piece to those who thought in WWII. Its nothing that original or ground breaking but its a personal project. All that's left is recording a voice over for it. I personally dont wish to have my own over the top and wondered if one of the kind people over at Matthawkins would mind helping me out.

Im looking for an English accent, youngish 18-28, my preference is a london or southern accent but im willing to consider anyone who wants to give it a try. The short was made on £5 and on my own equipment so i cant offer any money for your time but you'll get a big thanks, a credit on the film, a copy of the dvd and i hope to post it on this forum for all to see when its done.

If anyone's interested please record yourself reading the following quote from saving private ryan and email it to MSBFILM@aol.com. Also if you could post a reply on this topic so i know who's submitting one.

"I have here a very old letter, written to a Mrs. Bixby in Boston. "Dear Madam: I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant-General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle. I feel how weak and fruitless must be any words of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering to you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom. Yours very sincerely and respectfully, Abraham Lincoln."

Thank you all very much

Yep, I'd be happy to. I've got what I consider a rather neutral London, british accent, although it's only neutral to me (;)). I just haven't got that much time to do a recording of that quote at the moment. I'll do it asap.

Limey comes from the old days when scurvy was problematic.
