I really have no clue what had happened my "producer" had a problem involving a cell phone being stolen and she had to cancell the service making the bill cost even more

$1000 for 2 months!!!! damn.

so my wife and I have to rely on my measly paycheck from working in theatre. So I have 40 bucks to make a huge size of blood for well the movie is a gorefest filled with fun blood and comedy.

so it has to be very cheap....and has to have alot. damn the world of odds.

I still have half a gallon of good blood so that will be for more closeup shots.

a detergent and food dye mix may work well.

Corn Syrup and food colouring. The syrup will thin out quite well after enough food colouring has been added. You'll need a ton of red, and half as much yellow, and a tiny bit of blue to get the colour just right. If you just use red it'll look too pink.
I recommend you mix it in the same lighting conditions you'll be shooting in, so you get the colour perfect.

You can always try and water down the corn syrup idea, and try and stretch it as far as possable, or hell maybe even Kool-aid it would give it that silly thin extream amount, sice you said it was a gore fest comady.
