Well, the problem is a muzzle flash in the dark of night would be dark enough to light the entire room up. Experiement in editing and see if you can find a way to brighten the frame up a little. Also, work on feathering the flash itself out a little better. Right now it just looks like you've simply composited something.

Okay, I have removed the color grading on the muzzle flash frames to give the effect that the room has lit up. I also added a little blur to the flashes so they don't look so crispy. Thanks for the help Epsilon.

The second one isn't as bad as the first, but the acting was bad and the flash was choppy. You can see the edges on the flash. You also bring your hand up rather then just snapping it. The sounds not too bad, but its too loud.

Yeh, I know Im a crappy actor and the edges around the flashes I cant really get rid of with out it looking strange. Ohh and what do you mean by choppy?

It seems a bit jerky.

The second one is much better, with the added light and tint.

Well it probably looks a bit jerky because I cut out a few frames to simulate the gun kicking. Trust me it looks a lot worse without the kick.
