24fps Question

Post by Kentertainment »

Next month I am going to begin production of my next film. I'll be shooting visual on a Panasonic AG-DVX100B in 24 frames per second. So my question is:

The past films I've done are all shot in 30fps and in post (using Vegas 5) I render it to 24fps to give it a film look. To do this though I have to manually change it from 30 to 24. So if I didn't do this it would render 30fps footage to a 30fps file. So If I am filming in 24fps do I want to render it to 24fps?

It's a simple question I should probably know by now, but still.

Yes, you want to render it in 24fps.

Wouldn't that make it 12 frames per second?
