16mm question

very nehive sounding question, but i live in england, and i am about to buy an arri 16mm from the US. Is there any compatibiliy problems that i should be aware of?

Is it from eBay? I'm saving up for one too. Just make sure the guy that sells it to you guarantees it works or else he can make money off a broken camera. I don't know too much about them either.

Well the good thing is you won't have PAL vs. NTSC problems! :lol: To my knowledge, all 16mm film is the same dimension. Another advantage with film is you can shoot it whatever frame rate you want, camera permitting. It's possible yours may not even shoot at 24 fps. But the biggest concern I would look for is make sure it will work. You don't want buy something that looks usable when the seller only wants to get rid of an unworking, vintage item. :)

it comes with every thing i need to make it work from he box, the seller guarentees it. an it has from 1-60 fps. i think its about 20 years old

Sound fabulous with the adjustable frame speed! Now you just need some film and try it out! :D
