i have just foudn an S- Video terminal on my camcorder and was wondering if anyone new what it is and what it does??

S-Video goes into a VCR i think - Ive got one on my TV Card and thru it i can plug the old VCR's in which dont hav the red yellow and white plugs - but im not sure u may wna check with sum1 else

Svideo is going to deliver a cleaner video signal than the composite (RCA plug) as an input our output, It delivers seaparate chroma and luma channels, while composite delivers both channels on the same signal.

If u buy a Dazzle digital video creator (its very nice)...u can use s-video to capture into your computer.

Nothing. That's your audio. Although you can find gold-plated ones that are a little better at keeping the noise down.

you can also buy an adapter at radioshack that allows you to turn an s-video line into a standard rca video line. this is usful for me because my rca video out port on my camera is broken and my monitor dosnt have an s-video imput on it.
