I've been looking at this camera as I can get a hold of one pretty cheaply and figure it will be a good place to start.
Can anybody please tell me whether or not this camera does 16:9?
Also any other feedback on this particular cam would be great.

It cannot shoot in widescreen format. But if you are just starting up, I wouldn't worry about wide ratios right now. True widescreen won't come cheap!
