Capturing from VHS with Canon XM2 (GL2)

Post by nobudgetfilmproductions » Sun Feb 04, 2007 2:16 pm

As the title says i am trying to capture from an old VHS of mine, onto my XM2, via the analogue in port, with the aim of putting the VHS onto DVD. However when I connect the camera to the vcr and put it into record/vcr mode nothing happens, i cannot get the VCR's analogue signal to come up on the camera.
Does anyone have a solution, any help will be appriciated.
Thankyou.

You need to put it in play/vcr and then select rec/pause on the remote (or somewhere for your camera) then you can start recording. Make sure you're going AV-OUT not AV-IN to the camera
