Battlefield 2?

Post by Kentertainment »

Does anybody have the game Battlefield 2? If you do, you should be able to get the sound effects from it.

Does anybody have the sound effects that they are willing to send me?

Sweet Action! by the way, why is it that you have every War related movie or game sound effects? You're now the Greek God "Warillus Sound Effectus"

Okay, lol, but it's really because I have nothing better to do after school. What are some sounds that you want, because I don't have the full game, I only have the demo, so you'll have to miss out on Bradleys and dune bugys.

Just some gunshots, I don't really care about the vehicles and stuff. You say you have the demo, is that on a disc? Normally you can copy the sfx files right off of a game disc.

I could but the the only unpaker I have is for PK3 files (CoD), and BF2 is something different, so either I may look around for an unpaker for it or just go in game record and edit.

Maj, where'd you get the PK3 unpacker from? Google isn't turning anything up for me. . .

Uh, it's been so long. I'll look it up and post a link.

Okay so far, all I have to do is edit the sounds and we're good to go.

your mystery lies within!...just kidding...the Audio files are in .dll format...here's the file your looking for

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2Audio.dll

that has most of the audio, cause it is the audio manager thing for bf2. Hope this helps

I tried opening that, but it just gives me a bunch of values, no sounds.

I clicked and punched everything, and they seem to be more of a spreadsheet than a sound file, lol

But yea right now, I have to go rerecord the sound again because for some reason it recorded them in low quality. Unless you guys don't mind?

Okay bad news, I have no idea wtf is the problem with my recordings but the video comes out great but the audio comes out like s***. It seems to work fine with everything but BF2, so now I'm going to be awhile before I figure what the problem is. But I can go ahead and post up the low quality for you guys to say that there isn't enough or something.

Hey barnes hows it looking? Gyro and I are going to start shooting an 80's cop comedy soon and we could really use some intense sound effects, nome sayin' (I invented that word to take "you know what I'm" and compact it into one tiny word.)?

I'm trying my best, they keep coming out as low quality.

Here's some more sounds from stuff to help hold you over.

The folder entitled mine are sounds from the gun range I made, others are more stolen ones.

Yea, right now they still keep saving when I take them from the game in low quality; so I'm still trying to figure out why.

But I'll go ahead and try to send those files to you.
