Bolt action sound effects...

Post by tallman_house_pictures »

Hi,
I am looking for some sound effects for the cocking of a bolt action rifle. I searched on Google but free good sound effects are getting really hard to find.

Anyone have any? I am looking for some preferably with the 'ting' or a cartridge as well. Anything, or parts are fine, as I can combine them.

Any bolt action is fine. (Sample bolt action rifle:Lee enfield, mauser K98, mosin nagant...)

Thanks.

Did you ever download my SPR & BoB sounds? The springfield (and the kar98 isn't too bad either) has a great bolt action sound.

If not give me your email-

Bolt action rifles don't go "ting" or cartridges. They are bolt action and don't eject the casing automatically. ;)

And... what the hell are you asking for!?!?!? You've got an Enfield, yourself! Right there in your avatar!!!

If you have a gun, there's no need to add a seperate sound effect, use the one on set.

First of all, it is deactivated so i cannot fire it. Second of all the colt doesnt sound authentic because of the deactivation process. Third of all I cant eject shells as the barrel is plugged so i can't get that.

Maj Barnes... mtallman@gmail.com ...please send em.

Epsilon: Yeah, I know they do not automatically eject the shell casings, but when you pull back the bolt, you can hear a brass ting as the shell pops out.

For the ting, record a coin falling down on a flat concrete floor.

Or go to a rifle range or shooting range and find a couple of spent shells and drop those.

He doesn't mean the casings striking the floor. He is asking about the casings ejected when you pull the bolt back.

There really isn't much of a Ting anyway. I wouldn't be too worried over it.

Okay sorry for being late, they're sent.

Anybody else want's them, they're 146 sounds, still some from the original I release back in BC.

Weapon sounds are much better and more isolated.

me and wildabeast are gonna start up a sound effects site sometime, we posted a thread in sound effects not too long ago. Once we get things going i guarantee i can get you a good gun sound for a bolt action. We'll probably use a friend of ours rifle, hes got some kind of Russian bolt action rifle.
