v.o audio advice

Post by Despin »

Hey there.

Ok... So we have some voice over recorded. It's not the best quality ever... But it's nice and clear and I think it's about as good as we can get it right from the Mic. Now I'm wondering if anyone knows any good tips or tricks for adjusting sound in post to make it sound even better. We have the audio as high quality wav. files and I'm just wondering if anyone has any tips as to what to do with the audio before putting it in the time line. Tips to help get that great voice over sound when we don't have a great voice over studio.

I realize this is all kinda vague but any tips or advice at all would be great.

What is your usual audio pipeline? What do you do to your audio before you finally think it's ready to be heard?

Despin out.

I use Nero: Sound Trax. If you Ahead Nero Pack it comes with software for audio editing, and has a bunch of different effects that help make the sound clearer and take out pops and cracks and just a whole array of stuff. If you don't have it than I suggest ...Limewire?
