The Freesound Project

Post by Almondo99 » Thu Jan 18, 2007 10:15 pm

"Children of Men" was the first major film to use a sound effect from this site, which is how I found it (Amazing movie btw). Theres a forum where you can request sounds too. It's a really cool site, and the sounds are free and royalty-free, if you use a sound though you have to credit the user in the credits. And no, I'm not from the site, it's just an awesome website I found, thought I'd share it-

That place is great. I just signed up about a half an hour ago. All I've been doing is running around downloading and commenting.

Thanks, and as you can see in my sig CoM=Great lol
The only thing is the search engine of it, the tag system kinda bugs me, and I couldn't really find any decent explosions. The request section in the forum will be useful though.

There are none, and guns are pretty scarce too. Although some distant hunting rifles did sound nice.

I found this site a while ago (sorry for not sharing) when I was looking for some sound effects for "Five Cents" and when I was looking for the Wilhelm Scream...which it had might I add. Great site.
