that was pretty funny. so diid you record the music w/ the atr-55. i am just curious about the quality of this microphone, how do you like it? if you could, do u mind recording just like 10 minutes of someone talking from a couple feet away from the mic (plugged into your computer) and then send it to me as a 128kbps mp3? if you can thanks a bunch, if you cant post it here i'll give you my email adress. thanks

Oh that was great! Some of the shots were a little dark, but it gave it a good atmosphere.
Liked how you did the credits too!

Thanks! I didn't even know anybody had responded this because we were away.
Iceblueorbitz, I didn't record any sound with that film...the speech was voiced over later. The cell phone sound is from SoundDogs.com. I'll send you over a clip of the ATR55. It's a nice microphone, it has two modes: Close-Up and Telephoto. Probably not the best out there but it works.
Yeah, it's based on a "true story." This happens a lot.
Thanks, Kentertainment. I'm just starting to get the hang of Sound Track, and I finally got a MIDI keyboard hooked up, so next time I'll be doing a completley original sound track. Hopefully I'll have actors next time, too.
For some reason, when I export from Final Cut Express, the video doesn't work on Windows, so I don't think I'm encoding it right. I had to use iMovie to get it to work.
Thanks for all the supportive comments!

Ohhhhh. Oops. Here's a fun fact: The phone doesn't acutally work, because it was dropped in the ocean by my little cousin, and it was "water-damaged." Here's another: In the vertical shot of the drawers, looking down, the tripod turned away the minute I closed the second drawer, so I had to cut out the third.
