Ok sorry about the brief removal, but i managed to get a higher quality video online and didnt think many people would miss it. ive since fixed the video and it is now online. also yes there is some story, just not much shown in the trailer. The story basically follows a young german conscript from his concription through his experiences on the russian front.

thats was great

could have been bettere if you actually explained the plot as oppose to showing off effects and uniforms, i now know what its about but it would have been nice in the trailer

uniforms- very impressed, i see you had to scrape a few together by using helmets and green jackets for russians but we're all on budgets so i dont expect much

overall an enjoyable trailer

Holy God. Awsome effects! You do realize you now are obligated to share how you did those. :P

Really nice: my only problem is how flat the picture looks. I don't know if your white balance is off, or you're purposely doing that- but that's the only thing that bugged me. Oh! And the constant VO's from video games p*** me off.

Don't worry there's no video game VO's in the movie. I really wanted to use the trailer music from COD2, but there was no way to get rid of the voices, so i pretty much tried to make them fit. The Muzzle FLashes were done with AlamDV effects lab, which i actually found on another forum in this site. I highly recommend it to anyone who can get it, it does muzzle flashes really fast and also does lightsaber effects and particle effects, as well as color correction. Speaking of which, the movie is color drained and desaturated, though some shots may have had bad white balance. on another fun note, epsilon is in this movie as well.

Yeah I was wondering a little about the yelling. Sounded like stock sounds.
But great trailer! (teaser?)

i like how you decided to go with the Germans and the Russian front instead of doing the cliched 101st Airborne or D-Day stuff that most people do. It is just nice to see something fresh.

that looks like a really good film, how did u do the onscreen affects like the bullet hits and the explosion on the ridge ?? my one criticism is that there were too many shots of groups of people getting mown down by a machine gun

The bullet hits were done with a paintball gun, and the explosions were all done with dry ice bombs buried in the dirt (3 liter, be VERY careful)

i was wondering how you did the magnificent blood splattering effect on 1:32. You oulled away something or how did you do that. It looks really peckinpah.

Ok the blood effect in 1:32 was done with the weed sprayer method, but i didnt have any sponge so we just had it open ended, and it kinda flowed out. the actors hand just happened to go right through the stream and its sprayed and looked like that.

Yep looking good, the only thing a bit cheeso is there are a few too many shots with the '4 guy syndrome' - where we see the same 4 guys attacking and dying in front of a machine gun. Be very careful with any shots like that as a lot of this film looks brilliant - and you don't want such obvious low budget signs sneaking in :)
