argh.. for me... i may be filming in a wildlife sanctuary portion... so i need to go the the Environment place to see if im allowed too... to do that i need the script and production budget done... then i need to write a letter to the town manager (the town clerk told me allll this... somehow i got his number) and give him all the details and stuff.... then someone will be assigned to the filming....

its probably much easier in other places that actually have a film commission in the town

Well, I was working on some stuff for a Battle of 1812 doc I'm doing at school. I used that great ship we'll use in your flick, and some footage from Lake Erie. I was able to somewhat composite them together. I used a still 3D picture.

At any rate, it shows that it's relatively easy to composite, even if the video isn't on a tripod. If your compositor is any good, he shouldn't have any trouble making the sinking ship scene for you.

Remember when budgeting to give yourself some leeway... There's always something that turns up, and you don't want to be out of money!

If anyone has the model of the ship, I'd like to give it a shot, please send in .obj, .3ds, .lwo, or .max
