Most Underrared Film Scores/Soundtracks

Post by TroubledCobraStudios »

Everyone knows the big, famous film scores like Star Wars or Indiana Jones. But what do you think are some of the most underrated film scores/soundtracks?

My Picks:

•Road To Perdition Score - Thomas Newman; its really a haunting and beautiful score that stuck in my head the moment i heard it.
•Braveheart - James Horner; just a great score thru and thru.

your picks?

Sin City Soundtrack-Graham Revelle, John Debney and Robert Rodriguez
Finding Neverland-Jan A.P Kaczmarek
The Rock (for its main theme mostly)
Cannibal Holocaust
Wasn't that movie banned in some countries?

I don't think the Godfather soundtrack is underrated. Many people love that theme.

I hate scarface's soundtrack though. But then I hate a lot of synthesizer sounding music.

I would have to go with Cannibal Holocaust although it was mentioned earlier, and yes, it was banned in many countries and was a video nasty. Also, A Clockwork Orange has one of the most unique soundtracks. Mostly Beethoven but Singin in the Rain during a rape scene also.

Anything by Thomas Newman. Finding Nemo and American beauty are fantastic, to the point that I bought American beauty on iTunes...

Okay, it's official - the greatest yet most underrated score ever is "American History X" by Anne Dudley.
