V-Chip Problem...

Ok, my mom set my V-chip about 3 years ago with really gay settings, like I can't even watch James Bond when its on TBS....so I asked her about it and she forgot her 4 digit password. So do you guys know what an override password would be for a Toshiba 19A21 TV?

I would call the manufacturer, or just go 1111...1112...1113...1114....that worked for our digit code on our cable box 2 years ago, then we just removed it, turned out the code was 1234 lol

I tried the manufacturers website and couldn't find anything, so then I asked this guy and he said to press the recall button 4 times before 5 seconds, and that didn't work, so I tried about 150 different combinations, did a google search, and still got zip. I will prolly end up calling the manufacturer one of these days.

Nah, I looked in the manual, theirs nothing their. And I'm not going to take it to Best Buy or Circuit City, just for a little code, or whatever I need to override it.

Not dvd's, it only blocks things that has the rating system, like when I tape it off HBO and burn it to dvd or VHS from another tv or vcr, and then go to watch it, it blocks it.

and if you do manage to find the code, write it down right this instant young man! Then if you don't manage to take the code off, you can do it next time you're watching the tube

why have they ever invented the v-chip? It's nothing but a really annoying chip that makes you wanna blow your tv to smithereens (it's forbidden btw in holland where I live :D)

I heard they're trying to make a V-Chip for video cassette tapes! Why can't parents just decide to NOT have a hand in everything they're kid does? OR at least wait till he gets caught doing something "Naughty" before installing all these safety doohikeys? When they install it, and you've done nothing wrong, you just feel like your own parents don't trust you for no reason at all.

Stop freaking chatting. Press the Power button and the Menu button on the TV at the same time, it will reset all of the settings. Passwords, channel programming, all that jazz.
