Not really it is TV and Home Cinema, your movie collection qualifies as Home Cinema

It comes with the territory. It's like in the ten commandments of amateur filmmaking (if anyone wants to assemble this, go ahead! ) It states: "Thou shall own more DVDs than one can humanly watch." Or something to that effect... feel free to edit that... haha...

Sounds about right paul, you have to have influence and the more films you watch the more you brain is turned on by these ideas

That's a good point, by watching loads of movies, you know what you like and don't like, and you should apply that to your own work! I've just been filming, and feel I've wasted 3 hours because the shots didn't come out well enough, they are wasted. Its not easy filming in public on your own, people think you're weird. The problem I had with the shots was the composition (Having to skip back and forth to the camera, playingf back clips to see if it was set up right, and finally the camera decided to auto-adjust it's exposure to the sky, and not me, so I got blacked out! Tip everyone, try always shoot footage with the sun behind you! I thought I'd get away with it, I didn't! Tomorrow is another day, and I need rain!

I love watching like the art house films and commercial films because they are both innovative and give you lots of creative dialog and such. I also before I write i like to watch a film, read the script whilst watching and see what actually made it to the film from the shooting script so.,,,,, It is a good way to learn nonetheless
