The Discharge
By Robert Harbour

Basic Plot

There are two cops, Neil Davis and Miles Wells. They were driving around when they get a call. There is a robbery in progress at a local convenience store. The two cops both go. When they get there, the robbers are not armed, but Neil gets nervous and ends up shooting one of the robbers. The robbers ended up being brothers, Nick and Felix Bell. Nick is the one who gets shot. When Felix gets out of prison, he seeks revenge against Neil Davis. Felix gets convinced that instead of just killing him, he’ll kidnap his kid and torture her until Nick confronts him.

Everyone dies and that's justice? Hmmm. I didn't like it that much. The imagery is quite good but the plot is pretty plain. New cop kills a petty theft whose brother gets his revenge. Everyone dies. I would complicate things a bit. Neil shouldn't be able to get away with murder that easily, despite the fact that he is a cop. If the story were a bit more complex, this could turn out to be a successful movie. Good luck!
If it can be written, or thought, it can be filmed.

Very good start to the script. I like the foreshadowing in Scene 11. It is very suspenceful. The ending needs to be longer. It seems that the climax is too close to the ending. But I really enjoyed that, you have a talent, my friend.
