hmmm... I did a small play for school, which however doesn't take place in the wood, but in the KonzentrationsLager Auschwitz-Birkenau(however you only need a furnace(for a crematory oven) and a barn (for the barracks). the characters are: 2 jew prisonners(who are brothers), a nazi soldier that appears in just one scene, and a german SS-Tötenkopf officer. in the play I used the SS-Haumptsturmführer Josef Mengele, but you should change the name since the guy really existed, but didn't die at all as I depicted it in the script, so it isn't historically accurate. If you want it, just give me your email and I'll send you the .doc file.

note that if you want war action, you might be deceived. we see guns only 2 times and it really fires once.

I've got one about an American Patrol taking an outpost. Theres more to it than that, but depending on the length you want I could cut it down.

For the script, are you adding violence? As in, gruesome ones.

How about a squad of paratroopers who's regiment was killed in the jump and they must continue the mission to take a farmhouse or comunications outpost or something.

I've got a one page pitch about a patrol unit in Korea that could easily be tweaked for WWII. It takes place in a clearing surrounded by a densely wooded area where enemy soldiers lurk and eventually fire on the unit, killing them before a single gun is fired in defense. In the next scene, an American soldier who has been separated from his squad stumbles upon the field of his fallen comrades. I thought of this while listening to the middle part of Paranoid Android by Radiohead, listen to it and see if you can picture the movie.
If it can be written, or thought, it can be filmed.
