yeh well the deadline is for the scripts to be entered, and then we need to vote, and then ther'll be another daedline for us to make the film.
well the contest doesn't have to be confined to the span of a mouth it can take as long as we want it to.
too true. then after we all decide that theres been enough time we vote.

I really want to be able to finish my film before September. Once school starts, no actors will have free time to do anything, handily cutting me out of the competition. I will also be much busier.

That's exactly my point! School is a real delaying factor. I'd give it till sunday.

I personally wouldn't - after the 15th, I've got one month until school. Add in one week for voting on the favorite script, and one week to get actors and equipment reserved, that's only 2 weeks until school to film and edit completely. Plus I've got some week long camp to go to August 5-10. So delaying yet another week on this would, in all likelihood, effectively cut me from the competition.

That's my vote, but its up to you guys too. Yea, democracy!

Everyone has had long enough. It doesn't take that long to write a first draft of a script!

Ok, I've thought it over too, and it's been plenty of time to write a 3 page script. The script competition closes in 30 hours from this post.

I'm not going to be submitting anything, so I just figured I'd throw my two cents in and say that Foxwood's script right now is the one im voting for.

Heres mine. its called "New Problems"

"New Problems"

Tyler walks past a window in his lounge room, when he spots a man walking to his front door. He stands at the window watching the man when he sees a slightly different version of himself about to confront him.
Almost as soon as the man notices him, “Tyler2â€

You could have always punched in the opposing problems like more greenhouse gasses, having a person who looks exactly like you f**king up your life, less food, less water, over population, thirst for power, etc. instead of having the typical slave clones... these clones have personalities, they obviously wont just work free for ever. Something like this could have been used to help the original to think that cloning is bad.
