In Need of Help with horror/exploitation script!

Post by MGH »

Okay, so I was watching Kill Bill and Day of the Woman (aka I Spit on Your Grave) and Last House on the Left the other day and I would really like to make a revenge film like the two. I was thinking something along the lines of "Left Alone Bleeding" for a title. So if you all have any advice, ideas on deaths or plot, please let me know. I havent given this film much thought yet so I am very open to any advice. Thanks.

This probably sounds cheesey, but what if in this small city or something some people find out that there are people or things living in the sewers beneath their streets. And they only come up for food or something, which is people. You could run with that.

yea, sounds good. I just want the killers to be totally human, just really f****d up people. I am going with either rape/revenge, near death/revenge, or maybe death/parents revenge. Which one of those do u like best?

Yea, I know what you mean. Hmmm I love Last House On The Left so the death/parents revenge sounds really good to me. Just got to figure out a way to do it differently than LHOTL. That is the real obstacle if you choose to write with that premise.

Yea, awesome movie. Do you recommend any literary devices I could use to separate them?

Whats with the overload in making exploitation movies? I think it has something to do with the new Rodriquez/Tarantino Grindhouse movie...

They look good with a low budget. No great acting needed, though preferred. Practice with gore fx. Fun to watch, and they scare me s***less

I have always been into exploitation/horror movies for a long time. I think The Devil's Rejects really helped create the spark for a comeback of exploitation films. The Grindhouse film does look pretty great though with all the older actors from old horror films showing up in it.

And MGH, Salo is a film by Pasolini partly based on the writings of Marquis de Sade. It is set in WWII Italy and follows a group of boys and girls who are taken to a house in the country side by some fascist libertines. At the house they are degraded and abused in all sorts of ways. It is one of the most disturbing films I have seen. I don't think I would place it in the exploitation genre though, because it has such a different feel to it.

Not sure, because it has been awhile since I have seen it, but some crazy stuff does happen at the end as well as in earlier parts of the film.
