I'm going to need a miracle for this one...

Post by Truggy »

Ok...so yesterday i was helping a friend start work at a Gaming center where i work...Well in my midst of playing World of Warcraft(crack) ....a program that is loaded on the main computer is known as "Adwatch-Pro" or something along those lines, it's an add on for Ad-aware...well anyway...heres the main problem that i am having with this. Somehow, i blocked every .exe file in the system...Go to your desktop, and right click, hit "new shortcut"...that will come up with some strange icon before u put a .exe to it. Imagine my entire computer (all the links) looking like that, not targeting any program file nor executable....Have you ever opened a .PDF file with no adobe reader loaded and get that thing that pop's up saying "u must select this program from a list"...well everytime i try to open up something, it pop's up with that so i can locate the executable...so we got CCP (cyber cafe pro) working at my work...thats the important thing. So im sitting there fiddleing with it, and i tried to open the command prompt...that wouldnt even open...so i adventually found it in the system files, got it open. I adventually found the msconfig system utility...I could not disable ad-watch or anything like that because it wasnt turning on on startup, it's as it's blocking itself from starting up, which makes no sense...Another problem, relating back to what i typed up top, is say you take (this is just for your reference to try to help me)...say you have a shortcut on your desktop for WoW.exe ...linked to the world of warcraft folder in your desktop (mind you this does this with every program)....So you have to target that .exe ....But here's the thing that confuses the **** out of me...when i go manually into C:\program files\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe (when i go into the folder) and try to click on it...it disappears...so i closed it, went back in, i found out that it was hiding the said .exe file...this happens with all program files....If anyone could help me possibly avoiding a system restore ide appreciate it. I've explained everything i can in complete detail, so please try and help me!!! :!: :!: :!:

WoW has many security hassles and viral concerns, not too mention account hacks. Perhaps it is karma (crack)?
