My monitor (alright i need help with this)

IM puzzled. Last night upon installing my 2 favorite games (battlefield 2, and BF2 special forces), my monitor started making a weird noise...high pitched...and i couldnt take it anymore so i shut off the monitor...now it's working fine...anyone know what has happened or have this happen? Still have a warantee on it...so i wanna see wth is up with it
