Monitor Not Recognized

Post by UFProductions »

I was fiddling around with the conrols on my graphics card, and set it to interlaced mode. It did not seem to do anything, so I switched it back. At that point the screen went blank and refused to be recognizd even after rebooting. I would get the windows loading screen and all that jazz right up to the point where it should go to the Choose User screen when it just goes black. The LCD will connect and display properly on my laptop, but as far as the PC goes: no dice. It wont even let me go to the monitor settings. I am in desparate need of help here lads, any imput is appreciated!

enter into safe mode, and change it back, before the Xp bootup comes up, hit F8, go in, fix the mistake, and all should be good, cause it doesnt load any video drivers in safe mode, so you should be good after that.

Tried that, also starting in VGA mode. I can boot it up like that, but no matter which setting I correct or adjust I get the same proble. I'm pretty sure I messed up the BIOS, in which case I'm royaly screwed. Anyone know how to restore BIOS setting without doing a total reformat?

UPDATE: Well, apparently the BIOS were unfucked, because the full system restore and reformat fixed it. Second time I've had to reformat in a month, I am very sick of this.

It usually resets after 15 seconds, did you wait that long before resarting?

Umm... yeah, I solved this problem two months ago. But yes, I did make sure I waited the set amount of time.
