Erasing web adresses

Post by puje »

My Internet Explorer really annoys me; there are some adresses it simply will not erase. (I mean e.g. if you type www.t ... all the adresses you visited that beginwith the letter T are visible)
I've tried deleting the overview so many times, and I also deleted cookies and temp. internet files, but the adresses are still there. I also tried scenning the comp. with AdAware even though I don't think the problem has anything to do with spyware.
Anyone know how I can delete the adressed for good? (and please don't just til me to get Firefox)

That's what I have done a million times. I just wasn't sure what "clear history" was called since my IE isn't in English...

Serah the registry (Run Regedit) and find one of the web addresses then delete all the keys relating to the address. Backup the registry before hacking it about just in case.

Before editing the registry do this: go into Tools>Internet Options>General. In this window click on Delete Cookies, Delete Files (Including All Offline Content), and Clear History. Set your History to zero days, hit Apply. Next in the same window click on the Advanced tab. Make sure that Inline AutoComplete (under Browsing) is turned off, click Apply. If all of that doesn't work, then go into the Registries.

Not more than your average teen sharing a computer with his parents :D
No, it really wasn't that bad...

And I fixet it now. There's somewhere where you can make it not remember adresses at all.
What mostly p*** me off about it was that I had no control over it. It really gets to me when I cant explain or solve something like this...
