CRT or LCD Monitors. Which to use?

Which is better for video editing: A flat CRT monitor or an LCD monitor? Someone said that CRTs show truer color.

CRT all the way. LCD has issues with color, and shading. Plus you can get some weird artifacts with LCD that you don't get on CRT, and if its something you are trying to fix, then that could be a problem.
I love my LCD for gaming, but for video I go right back to the CRT.

CRT now due to the price, resolutions and fast refresh rate!!! GO FOR IT!

well i guess it depends, lcds are much better know a days, and if you could get your hands around an 8ms refresh rate one, i dont think it would give you any trouble. I got a 12ms refresh rate one, 17" and it is really awsome, tons of space more than with my 15" crt. There are 19" with 8ms refresh rate, that gives a lot of working space, they take lil space in your desk and consume less energy too.

Have you seen the xbright or i dont know what technology that Sony uses in its new computers? Wow! those are the most vivid, true color looking, realistic video an photo i've ever seen (those flat screens with black border and shiny coat)
